MICROSOFT UPDATES.

The first step is visit this site and do as suggested, let it update your computer. No charges are involved only the telephone connection. Microsoft admit that there may be "holes" in their very complex programs which is why "updates" are free to Windows users. They will scan your computer, no downloading of information from your computer at all by them. Then they will suggest "critical updates" and you would be wise to download them. They will also suggest other updates and you can chose to download or not. Installation is automatic. A description of what the updates are for is also given. This site should be visited monthly. If you have Windows XP make sure the automatic "up dates" is ticked.
