BIO-RHYTHYMS

Biorhythm charts illustrate the principle that we are influenced by physical, emotional, and intellectual cycles. Many people report that they can improve the quality of their lives by monitoring the highs and lows of these cycles and acting accordingly. For example, you might try to schedule important exams during your intellectual highs, avoid talking to your significant other during your emotional lows, or arranging the lineup of your football team around their physical highs.

STICHOMANCY

Stichomancy is one of the oldest forms of divination (at least 3000 years old in fact), in which the querant opens to a random page of randomly selected book in a library, to find an excerpt that applies to the situation at hand. The most common forms of stichomancy are I Ching readings (in which one consults the ancient Chinese Book of Changes) and Bibliomancy (in which one consults a Holy Book such as the King James Bible or the Koran). In order to give you the widest possible experience, our library includes hundreds of the most interesting and famous books and documents in literature. Readings from a particular genre are the most popular, especially the Adventure, Bible, and Horror genres.

BIBLIOMANCY

Bibliomancy is the practice of seeking spiritual insight by selecting a random passage from a Holy Book. It is a form of Stichomancy, which involves selecting a random passage from a random book of any nature. Bibliomancy and Stichomancy have been popular methods of divination for at least 3000 years, when the I Ching was first used to divine the future.

NUMEROLGY

Our personal profiles are based on Numerology, the ancient practice of uncovering hidden associations between words by converting letters into numbers (A=1, B=2, C=3, etc). Unlike modern numerology (which revolves around interpretations of individual numbers), this older form of numerology focuses on lists of words, names, and dates whose numeric values match your own in some way. Our own contribution to the art of numerology (that's right - you saw it here first) is using this approach to find the Tarot card and Rune that represent you, celebrities who match your birth path, and words that have significant meaning to your public or private life. TAROT

The Tarot is a deck of cards that originated over 500 years ago in northern Italy. Although the Tarot was first used in a game called Triumphs, it was quickly adopted as a tool for divination, and popularized by occult societies such as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The early Tarot symbolism was deeply rooted in Medieval and Renaissance Europe, but over the centuries it has grown to incorporate everything from Astrology and Kabbalah to Runes (which predate the Tarot by 1000 years) and the I Ching (which predates the Tarot by 2500 years).
