Proprietor.John Dolan selling all kinds of groceries, greetings, newspapers and wines and spirits.
An ATM (Cash point Machine) is available during shop hours which takes most credit and bank cards.
Banking facilities for many High Street banks. Car Road Tax discs can be obtained here.

KATHY'S
Our village true "Unisex" hairdresser. Men are equally welcome.
Kathy is open from Tuesday until Friday (Saturday by appointment only)
but closed on Thursdays when she operates a Mobile service for people who find it difficult to visit her salon.

PATHFINDER VILLAGE CHURCH

Shown here, purpose built for the village in the original Pathfinder workshops.
The church has been consecrated for use by all Christian Faiths. There are regular Church of England services and a monthly United Interdenominational service.
Full details of services are published on the village notice boards in the Devon Lady and in the shop. The church secretary is Mrs.Doreen Blockley.

PATHFINDER CLUB

Our "Village Pub". Various other activities take place here and in the village hall which is adjacent.
There is a thriving Art Group meets on a Monday and a lot of their excellent paintings etc. are hung in the village hall. Some of these works are for sale.
The Whist Club meet every Tuesday afternoon for a quiet game. Keep fit sessions on Wednesday mornings - mainly attended by the ladies but men are equally welcome.
"REGULAR NIGHTS" are held here such as dances, quiz nights and Bingo. The club has a Skittles Team and is in the Crediton League.
The highlight of the year is the Christmas dinner usually held a few days ahead of the holiday.

The "GOOD COMPANIONS"

MEET IN THE VILLAGE HALL, On the 1st and 3rd Wenesday of the month at 2.30 pm.
Regular outings are arranged in the summer months and an annual party just before Christmas.

The "DEVON LADY"

Situated by the Estate Office is a place where Residents can leave books, jigsaws etc. for others to read or exchange.
No clothes or shoes PLEASE. This service is intended for Residents only. Notices of all kinds can also be placed on the notice board.

Please do not obstruct the windows with your notices.

THE SURGERY

A satellite of St. Thomas Health Centre in Cowick Street, Exeter, from which doctors attend here on Mondays and Fridays.
A prescription service operates for the convenience of residents, (a nominal donation is requested, all the money collected is donated to charity).
Additionally there are the services> of a Community Nurse who attends the surgery three mornings Monday, Tuesday & Friday a week for dressings and minor ailments.

A Health Service mobile unit visits the Village at times- please ring Dean Clark House for details of times and all information.
Also if you are disabled and unable get to this vehicle, the folk at Dean Clark House will explain how home visits can be arranged.

Makes regular visits by appointment. Gillian does come to some of us every six weeks but makes more frequent visits to many others..

RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION

. Has the interests of the village at heart and residents are invited to become a member for a nominal fee.
They issue a quarterly bulletin for members.

HOME HELPS

Both Social Services and Private ones operate in the Village.

LAUNDERETTE

A launderette was provided for the use of residents and situated at the rear of the Site Office but it was not
considered viable by the park owners.
Unfortunately it contained the only village toilets which will greatly missed by shoppers
who have long walks from the distant parts of the village.

RECYCLING

The village is served by the Teignbridge District Council and is included in their recycling scheme. Five different bins and boxes are provided which are emptied on alternative Thursdays.
Inpspectors visit at random intervals to check residents put the correct things in their respective boxes.

OUTREACH FOR TRANSPORT


The Coordinator for this area is Margot Samuel, you can access her on 01647 61204.
An entirely voluntary service in which the drivers use their own cars.
These folk carry an envelope in to which passengers may make a reasonable donation towards running costs.
Much appreciated in these days of high fuel prices.

Outreach operates in many Devonshire rural areas.

RING AND RIDE

This service is organised from Crediton. TEL 01363 773303
The bus travels around the village to collect and later to return residents to their homes.
Normally it goes to Exeter 3 weeks and Newton Abbot on the 4th week - but is best to ring them for details of days and times.
